- What is a VPN?
- VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, and it’s a service that helps you create a secure and encrypted connection between your device and the network. A VPN, like AzireVPN, hides your real IP address, which, similar to your home address, can give away your physical location. It does it by routing your internet traffic through a VPN server, keeping your browsing activity, identity, and location private.
- Do I need a VPN?
- A VPN is not a cure-all. It won’t make you completely anonymous online or stop Google and Facebook from collecting your data. It also won’t protect you from data breaches or cyber threats just on its own. However, a reliable VPN can be very useful for: Encrypting your internet traffic so your ISP or mobile provider can’t monitor your activity Hiding your IP address and masking your online identity Securing your connection on public Wi-Fi to prevent attacks Download or upload anonymously, without limit Bypassing censorship and accessing content blocked in your region Access geo-restricted content, even when traveling or living abroad So, if you value privacy and need to secure your internet connection, a VPN can be a valuable tool.
- How many server locations do you have?
- We currently operate 80 VPN servers across 26 locations. You can connect to any of these locations and switch between them as often as you like. Each server operates under the jurisdiction of its respective location. For details on future locations, check our Roadmap. For a complete list of current locations, their usage, and availability, visit our Servers page.
- Are you planning to add more servers?
- Yes, we are continuously working on expanding our network and regularly add new locations and servers. For details on future locations, check our Roadmap. Since we own and operate all our servers, the setup process can take more time compared to larger providers. But you can be sure that any new servers will meet our high privacy and performance standards. If you have a specific server location in mind, feel free to let us know by reaching out to support@azirevpn.com. We prioritize adding the most requested locations to our network.
- Do you own all of your servers? How are they installed and secured?
- Yes, we own all our servers. We handle the installation and management of our hardware in each location, ensuring that our servers and network equipment are physically secured in closed racks within data centers worldwide that meet our strict security standards. Our servers are equipped with quad-core Intel Xeon CPUs with AES-NI cryptographic optimizations and 12GB of RAM. They operate without physical hard drives, which enhances security by protecting user data in case of seizure. We use only open-source software to ensure consistency and transparency across our network. Servers are monitored around the clock for uptime, usage, and latency. We use multiple IP addresses for domain name resolution to distribute connections across our locations effectively. For more details on our hardware infrastructure and server connectivity, see our Documentation.
